Glororum is where William the Red in the year 1091 erected his 'Malvoisin' (meaning 'bad neighbour') to watch over the movements of Robert Mowbray who was occupying Bamburgh Castle at that time. Hence the area's name of "Glower-o'er-him". Glororum offers a magnificent view of the castle and the surrounding coastline, a position happily now occupied by our caravan park
Glororum Caravan Park is owned by the Dryden Family who have been at Glororum since 1883.(That's our family crest on the left). The caravan Park was established in 1953 with 10 caravans and has grown over the years to accommodate 150 Static Caravans and 100 touring pitches and electric hook ups with up to date facilities to support them.

The old and the new site. The caravans may have changed but the view is the same one William the Red had in 1091 !
